Quattro Stagioni” ist ein Off-Programm vom Kunstraum espace libre und wurde 2019 von dem ehemaligen Direktor, Andrea Marioni, ins Leben gerufen. Jedes Jahr werden vier Künstler*innen oder Kollektive eingeladen, auf der Osttribüne des Stadions eine Intervention im „Open- air white cube“ (ein mit weißer Farbe auf dem Boden markierten quadratischer Perimeter) zu realisieren. Diese Interventionen im öffentlichen Raum lässt espace libre ein Teil eines urbanen Labors werden. Das Ausser-Haus Projekt basiert auf einem poetischen und spielerischen Dialog zwischen künstlerischer Praxis und dem öffentlichen Raum.

“Quattro Stagioni” est un programme off de espace libre, espace pour l’art contemporain derrière le Centre d’art Pasquart, et était lancée par l’ancien directeur d’espace libre, Andrea Marioni, en 2019. Chaque année, quatre artistes ou collectifs sont invité.e.s à faire une intervention sur un périmètre marqué au sol avec de la peinture blanche, sur les gradins Est du stade. Cette proposition de ‘white cube’ en plein air permet à espace libre de s’inscrire dans un laboratoire urbain qui est influencée par le passage des quatre saisons, est fortement liée avec nos envies de soutenir les dialogues poétiques et ludiques entre la pratique artistique et l’espace public.

“Quattro Stagioni” is an off-site program of espace libre, launched by the former director of the space, Andrea Marioni, in 2019. Each year, four artists or groups are invited to make an intervention on a perimeter marked on the ground with white paint, on the east stands of the stadium Gurzelen. This open-air 'white cube' proposal allows espace libre to be part of an urban laboratory that is influenced by the passage of the four seasons. Quattro Stagioni supports poetic and playful dialogues between artistic practice and public space.
