Planté dans le sol, sous des arbres aimant, Embracet est une performance qui cherche la stabilité dans les hauteurs. À leurs pieds : des chaussures pointues et dangereuses. Comme dans le de-skilling, elles créent une impraticabilité qui les oblige à trouver de nouvelles façons de bouger. Se fondre les uns dans les autres, traverser des évolutions. Et au bout du compte, que faut-il faire pour avancer ?

Pour son exposition à espace libre, présentée dans le cadre des Journées photographiques de Bienne, Bertuchoz collabore avec l’artiste et photographe Ricardo Caldas pour construire une nouvelle installation à partir des traces et de la documentation de la performance originale.

Im Boden verwurzelt, unter liebevollen Bäumen, eine Performance, die Stabilität in der Höhe sucht. Zu ihren Füssen: spitze und gefährliche Schuhe. Wie beim De-Skilling schaffen sie eine unpraktische Situation, die sie dazu zwingt, neue Wege zu finden, um sich zu bewegen. Ineinander verschmelzen, Evolutionen durchlaufen. Was braucht es am Ende, um voranzukommen?

 

Für die Ausstellung im espace libre, die im Rahmen des Bieler Fototage präsentiert wird, arbeitet Bertuchoz mit dem Künstler und Fotografen Ricardo Caldas zusammen, um aus den Spuren und Dokumentationen der ursprünglichen Performance eine neue Installation zu schaffen.

Planted in the ground, under loving trees, Embracet is a performance that seeks stability in the heights. At their feet: pointed and dangerous shoes. As in de-skilling, they create an impracticality that forces them to find new ways to move. Melt into each other, go through evolutions. And in the end, what does it take to move forward?
For the exhibition at espace libre, presented as part of the Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography, Bertuchoz collaborates with the artist and photographer Ricardo Caldas to build a new installation from the traces and documentation of the original performance.
