What does it mean to gather around a table?
TISCHLEIN TISCHLEIN SETZ DICH is a summer festival exploring the metaphorical, ritual and material meaning of the “Table”. For six weeks, through a collective exhibition and a program of public events, visual artists, musicians, writers and performers consider the "table" as an object and a site of gathering, of work, of diplomacy, conflict and exclusion.

Opening of the group exhibition and participatory installation of four 'sculptures for sitting' created by Leolie Greet, Gil Pellaton, Janosch Perler and Nora Renaud; a mysterious 'table of tricks' by Antoine Zivelonghi and custom-printed tablecloths by Valentin Merle.
Featuring a micro-wave menu from Community Center Catering and a live concert from Claude Wave

Performance evening with collective KarteNoire2502 featuring special guest Donia Sbika

Collective KarteNoire2502 (Mor Dorvat, Antoine Zivelonghi and guest artist Donia Sbika) will work in situ at espace libre exploring fetishes of festivity, the breaking of bread and the theatre of table manners. At the end of their two-week residency, they will host an evening of 3 short performances within a table installation created by Antoine Zivelonghi.
This event has a total capacity of 30 people. Tickets at the entrance (prix libre, cash only please), performances start at 7:30 p.m.

Writing workshop with Fork Burke

The poet Fork Burke hosts an experimental writing workshop using ‘cut-ups’ as a tool for creating multi-lingual and multi-layered text.
We will Speak We will Record We Will Be Cut Ups We Will Create through Collage through Chance through Collective Composition.
Participants bring one or more books in any language you choose - all other equipment will be provided.
The workshop will conclude with an apéro around the table.

Performative dinner proposed by Nicolas Polli

Nicolas Polli cooks with images. His photographs are vegetable choreographies, bringing together organic and inorganic, living and dying elements of everyday life. The Ticino-born and Bienne-based photographer / star pizza chef in transformation invites us to join him for a multi-course dinner served on a tableau vivant inspired by snail trails through summer fields, and wild forests where perhaps strawberries grow on trees.
The performative dinner is limited to 30 people. 15.- per person (Drinks not included). Please write to us at espace.libre.bienne@gmail.com to reserve your place before 7.7.2022.

Que signifie se réunir autour d’une table ?
TISCHLEIN TISCHLEIN SETZ DICH est un festival d’été explorant la signification métaphorique, rituelle et matérielle de la “Table”. Pendant six semaines, à travers une exposition collective et un programme d'événements publics, des artistes visuel.les, des musicien.nes, des écrivain.es et des performeur.ses considèrent la "table" comme un objet et un site de rassemblement social, de travail, de diplomatie, de conflit et d'exclusion.

Soirée de performance avec le collectif KarteNoire2502 et l'artiste invitée Donia Sbika

Le collectif KarteNoire2502 (Mor Dorvat, Antoine Zivelonghi et l'artiste invitée Donia Sbika) travaillera in-situ à espace libre explorant les fétiches de la fête, la rupture du pain et le théâtre des manières de table. Au terme de leur résidence de deux semaines, ils animeront une soirée de 3 performances courtes au sein de l'installation de table créée par Antoine Zivelonghi.
Cet événement a une capacité totale de 30 personnes. Ticket d'entrée prix libre, caisse sur place, les performances commencent à 19h 30

Workshop d'écriture avec Fork Burke

La poète Fork Burke anime un atelier d'écriture expérimentale utilisant des "coupures" (cut-ups) comme outil de création de texte multilingue et multicouche.
Nous parlerons, nous enregistrerons, nous serons découpés, nous créerons par le collage, par le hasard, par la composition collective.
Les participants apportent un ou plusieurs livres dans la langue de votre choix - tout le reste du matériel sera fourni. L'atelier se terminera par un apéro autour de la table.

Nicolas Polli cuisine avec les images. Ses photographies sont des chorégraphies végétales, réunissant des éléments organiques et inorganiques, vivants et mourants, de la vie quotidienne. Le photographe et pizzaiolo star en transformation, né au Tessin et installé à Bienne, nous invite à le rejoindre pour un dîner à plusieurs plats servis sur un tableau vivant inspiré des sentiers d'escargots à travers les champs d'été et des forêts sauvages où peut-être les fraises poussent sur les arbres.
L'installation comestible (repas complet) est limitée à 30 personnes. Ticket 15.- par personne (boissons prix libres pas comprises), inscriptions obligatoires jusqu'au 7.7.2022 à espace.libre.bienne@gmail.com

Performance-Abend mit dem Kollektiv KarteNoire2502 mit besonderen Gast Donia Sbika

Das Kollektiv KarteNoire2502 (Mor Dorvat, Antoine Zivelonghi und die Gastkünstlerin Donia Sbika) wird in situ im espace libre arbeiten und Fetische der Festlichkeit, des Brotbrechens und des Theaters der Tischmanieren erforschen. Am Ende ihres Aufenthalts werden sie einen Abend mit drei kurzen Performances in einer von Antoine Zivelonghi geschaffenen Tischinstallation präsentieren.
Die Veranstaltung hat eine Kapazität von 30 Personen. Eintrittskarten an der Abendkasse (prix libre, nur Bargeld), Beginn der Aufführungen um 19.30 Uhr.

Schreibworkshop mit Fork Burke

Die Dichterin Fork Burke veranstaltet eine experimentelle Schreibwerkstatt, in der sie "Cut-ups" als Werkzeug zur Erstellung mehrsprachiger und vielschichtiger Texte vorschlagt.
Wir werden sprechen, aufzeichnen, Cut-Ups sein, wir werden durch Collage, durch Zufall, durch kollektive Komposition Texte erschaffen.
Die Teilnehmer:innen bringen ein oder mehrere Bücher in einer beliebigen Sprache mit - alle anderen Materialien werden vorhanden sein.
Der Workshop wird mit einem Apéro am Tisch abgeschlossen.

Nicolas Polli kocht mit Bildern. Seine Fotografien sind pflanzliche Choreografien, die organische und anorganische, lebende und sterbende Elemente des täglichen Lebens zusammenbringen. Der aus dem Tessin stammende und in Biel lebende Fotograf und Star-Pizzabäcker lädt zu einem mehrgängigen Menü ein, das auf einem Tableau vivant serviert wird, inspiriert von Schneckenpfaden durch Sommerfelder und wilde Wälder, in denen vielleicht Erdbeeren auf Bäumen wachsen.
Das performative Abendessen ist auf 30 Personen begrenzt. 15,- pro Person (Getränke nicht inbegriffen). Bitte schreiben Sie uns an espace.libre.bienne@gmail.com, um Ihren Platz bis zum 7.7.2022 zu reservieren.
